Commissioner Matt Gray is an 8th generation Texan and a proud lifelong resident of East Montgomery County. Gray is a graduate of New Caney High School, received a degree in business from Sam Houston State University, and has also earned his Project Management Professional accreditation. After graduating from Sam Houston, he began a successful career in Oil and Gas, where he planned multi-million dollar global projects and managed day-to-day operations.

Until his appointment to Commissioners Court, Gray worked as the Facilities Maintenance Construction Project Manager with a large school district.

Gray and his wife, Amanda, have four children. When Commissioner Gray is not busy serving the constituents of Precinct 4, he can be found continuing his graduate studies in Construction Science and coaching little league baseball.

Commissioner Gray will serve the constituents of Precinct 4 by prudently maintaining the budget, working to manage the fast-paced growth, properly maintaining roads, improving drainage, fighting to lower taxes, and bringing an end to wasteful spending.
