Commissioner Gray has been working with local, state, and federal leaders on drainage solutions across the Precinct through partnerships and grant funding. In addition to the 12 completed outfall and channel improvements, Precinct 4 has secured $9.9 million in federal funding for continued drainage improvements to outfalls. An outfall is a point where water flows from a drain or ditch into a larger body of water, such as a creek or river. By clearing and regrading outfalls and channels, we are taking a regional approach at storm water management to reduce flood risk.
