March 22, 2023- Today is #WorldWaterDay!

This day focuses attention on the importance of how we can sustainably and responsibly use water.

In the past, Precinct 4 had not been sustainably using water at our splash pad at Bull Sallas Park. Last summer, approximately 5 million gallons of water from the splash pad flowed directly into the ditches of the neighboring subdivision. This means an estimated $80,000- $90,000 of your tax dollars was spent on water. We are currently in discussion with East Montgomery County Improvement District with the goal of partnering to install a recirculating pump for the splash pad. We do not anticipate the splash pad opening for the 2023 season.

Please be patient as we delay the opening date of the splash pad to better serve you!
