Today is #WorldWaterDay!
This day focuses attention on the importance of how we can sustainably and responsibly use water.
In the past, Precinct 4 had not been sustainably using water at our splash pad at Bull Sallas Park. Last summer, approximately 5 million gallons of water from the splash pad flowed directly into the ditches of the neighboring subdivision. This means an estimated $80,000- $90,000 of your tax dollars was spent on water. We are currently in discussion with East Montgomery County Improvement District with the goal of partnering to install a recirculating pump for the splash pad.
Please be patient as we delay the opening date of the splash pad to better serve you!
